Agent grading · 16 grades · 118-element table

From Hydrogen to Plutonium.
The periodic agent grading system.

Sixteen grades highlighted across the full periodic table — colour-coded from cool grey-green (light elements) through brand green (transition metals) and gold (precious metals) to amber (heavy metals) and radioactive red (actinides). The colours signal heat. The progression signals seniority.

All sixteen grades

Every grade. Every threshold.

Agents promote whenever they cross either the Data Size or the Conversations threshold — whichever they hit first. Agents never go backwards once promoted.

Why a periodic system

Gamified, but grounded.

01

Visibility

See growth at a glance. No spreadsheets, no exports — the badge on every agent card carries its current grade.

02

Comparison

Your agents versus the vertical average. Are you ahead, behind, or right on track?

03

Motivation

Engagement encourages hive opt-in. Every conversation, anonymised, moves your agents closer to the next grade.

04

Storytelling

"Our Sales Lead just hit Au grade." Internal celebration. External proof. Real milestones, not vanity metrics.

05

Identity

No other AI platform does this. Sixteen grades on the periodic table is uniquely ours.

06

Stickiness

Leaving means abandoning your AI team. Twelve months of training don't transfer to a competitor.

What grading is NOT

Grade-based pricing? No.
We considered it. Rejected it.

Charging more for mature agents would punish the customers most loyal to us, undermine hive contribution, and break the “AI staff” metaphor (you don't get a surprise bill when an employee learns a new skill).

Our cost to run a G16 agent is roughly the same as our cost to run a G1 agent — same Hermes infrastructure, just a different LoRA adapter. Tier-based pricing only. Grade is a free, gamified retention driver, full stop.

Start at Hydrogen.
Grow toward Plutonium.
